In this interview I sit down with Manuel “Manny” Diotte, local hero to so many families affected with cancer. Manny is also an accomplished writer, speaker, coach, and trainer to companies wanting to inspire their employees to live a better life. I became aware of Manny through a non-profit event that he started called The Ferrari Kid, where Manny arranges for children fighting cancer the chance to spend a part of the day riding around in a Ferrari. I was drawn to his think positive attitude and how he always seemed to have a smile on his face. In the video he will tell you how he came up with the idea of The Ferrari Kid, which came from his own battle with cancer. I wasn’t expecting it, but Manny even gave me some free coaching and advice about how to advance my speaking career, and he gave me a copy of his best selling book Happiness is a Pair of Shorts. Although I have not started it yet, I am certain that I will finish it before the month is over, and from the sleeve it looks like it’s going to be fantastic. Not to mention he got none other than Zig Ziglar to do the Foreword! Now that’s a guy after my own heart. If you’re looking for someone to come speak to your organization about overcoming adversity with a great attitude, I can’t think of anyone better than Manny and you can contact him HERE. Thank you Manny, I truly am honored that you are a part of my mission to make San Antonio a more positive city.
Fill your mind with good things rather than toxic garbage, and remember to think positive thoughts as often as possible. I suggest reading as many good positive things that you can, in the way of quotes and books. Books like The Power of Positive Thinking, Think and Grow Rich, Three Feet from Gold, and a number of other inspirational and motivating books. Immersing yourself in ways to think positive thoughts and do positive things is the key to a happy life. Whatever you want to be or become, chances are high that someone that has already done it and become successful has written a book about it. Read that book! I love the saying “leaders are readers” because it reminds me that I need to continue to read more and more every day.
